Montessori Enrichment Center

The Montessori Enrichment Center in Howell Township, New Jersey, utilizes the Maria Montessori Method to nurture children's minds and spirits. This project focuses on creating open spaces for classrooms and recreational activities alongside an office area for financial sustainability. The design ensures visual and acoustic separation between the office and the school and is partially submerged to enhance the environment's aesthetics. This separation allows for a public space that serves as an art gallery for charity events. A rooftop garden will serve as a gathering space for the public and office workers and classrooms will feature movable walls for flexibility. Doors will also convert into canopies for added elegance. The open courtyard will include mobile planters and a protective tensile fabric canopy to provide natural light. A rooftop walkway will allow public access and offer views of the garden. The project fosters self-directed learning through engagement with nature and innovative design.
