The Tube Hotel stands proudly on Porto da Barra Beach in the historic city of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, a site distinguished as the birthplace of Bahia's first European settlement, Vila Velha (the Old Village). This innovative hotel maximizes breathtaking views, connects with the street, and showcases its modular construction. Comprising a series of interlocking prefabricated modules, the hotel's unique structure sets it apart. On-site construction enables stacking these tube frameworks, each featuring electronic, thermally insulated glass balconies that dynamically change color as natural light floods the space, contributing to a vibrant atmosphere. The public areas extend from the street plaza, designed as vertical urban parks that invite engagement and interaction. The versatility of the modules is a key strength, as they are portable and adaptable, allowing for creative design solutions. Inside each module, elements can retract and seal off, facilitating an automated sanitation system that ensures hygiene upon guest check-in. The standout feature of the design is undoubtedly the glass tube balconies, whose circular form not only frames stunning horizon views but also acts as a portal to the captivating surrounding landscape.
